Missions Legacy Memorial FundA new opportunity for Colorado's Southern Baptists is the "Missions Legacy Memorial Fund." This fund is designed to encourage and support missions and ministries in Colorado for generations to come. Mrs. Lee Adams, of Atlanta, GA., provided the initial gift launching this "Missions Legacy Memorial Fund." Lee served 43 years as administrative assistant to three presidents of the Home Mission Board, SBC. She served with excellence as a missions volunteer for the Colorado Baptist General Convention on multiple occasions. Lee's gift is sent in memory of her husband, George Adams. George was a dedicated deacon and a willing servant in the church and in the community. He worked faithfully and quietly behind the scenes in his local church assisting with the essential operations that make a church function well. He demonstrated a compassionate servant leader role among the members of the church. He is being remembered and honored through a legacy of missions in Colorado. Additional contributions are being received from individuals across Colorado who desire to leave a legacy of missions. The Baptist Foundation of Colorado will manage the "Missions Legacy Memorial Fund." The aim is to invest and apply the income to missions and ministries in Colorado. The Missions Committee of the Executive Board of the Colorado Baptist General Convention will establish the policies and procedures for allocating the legacy funds. Anyone desiring to leave a legacy of missions may send a contribution, large or small, to the Baptist Foundation of Colorado. The contribution may be in remembrance of someone special or as an investment to missions. You may request additional information from Doug Lohrey at the Colorado Baptist General Convention office.
