"Cash Out" Stock Donations Policy

On occasion, a donor will give a common-stock donation to his/her church. The receiving church often has no quick and inexpensive way to convert the stock to cash.  The Baptist Foundation of Colorado offers a stock donation "cash-out" service to the churches of the Colorado Baptist General Convention.  We offer this service with the following fee schedule:

 

Donated Stock Value	Fee
Less than $1,000	$10
From $1,000 to $10,000	1% ($10-$100)
More than $10,000	$100

The church will need to:
1.  Transfer the stock to us, and
2.  Inform us of the transfer

The Baptist Foundation of Colorado will make stock sales as soon as practical after receipt of stock, but accepts no responsibility for market volatility while stock is in transit.
